has-palette-color-1-color\">Nachdem die Kohlevorkommen ersch\u00f6pft waren, beschloss das Bergwerk Pstrowski 1992, das gesamte Gebiet des Maciej-Schachts unter und \u00fcber Tage zu liquidieren. Das zwei Jahre zuvor gegr\u00fcndete Bergbauunternehmen DEMEX Sp. z o.o. schlug dem Bergwerk vor, den Schacht nicht stillzulegen, sondern ihn in eine Tiefwasserfassung umzuwandeln und den gesamten Geb\u00e4udekomplex zu erwerben. Im Dezember 1993 wurde das Projekt verwirklicht und die Pumpen der ersten polnischen Schachtwasserfassung wurden in Betrieb genommen.
